Experience Peace in the midst of storms

What was the last storm you faced?

Storms are incredibly beautiful. One of my favorite experiences is watching a lightening and thunder storm… to smell the rain coming and to feel the air shift, the wind blowing, the sky changing in a dramatic display of light and movement and the sounds of rumbling and crackling.

Storms of life come and go. We are all exposed to moments we wish we didn’t have to face and none of us are exempt from life’s traumatic experiences that can leave us hopeless, traumatized or stuck.

It’s what we do during the storm and immediately following that can make the difference. The storm doesn’t last forever, but sometimes we sit in it fight it, run from it and feel like it continues to chase and haunt as if it were still sitting in the midst of it. What are the other choices? Why do some feel peace in the storm and the delight of the promise at the ending of a storm- the rainbow effect. This is the calm we’re hoping to discover and spend more time in.

REFLECTION-

Did you get stuck in your storm? Are you still haunted by the triggers that affected you in the midst of the worst moments?

Or have you found rest, peace, and tranquility on the other-side and the fullness that life has to offer after the storm even though circumstances still aren’t perfect.

What makes the difference in the result and how you are able to move on?
