The Beginners Guide toward Meditation
Meditation- Prayer- Reflection
What is meditation and how do you do it? What is the difference between prayer and meditation?
Don’t worry too much about what it is called, but be more purposeful about how you utilize your time and what the outcome is. A moment of contemplation, pause to appreciate beauty, breath, life in a new way and reflect on how your body feels, what your heart is doing and the peace it offers. This is meditation… To stop, breathe, focus on one moment in time. It can be a word, a moment of gratitude, an emotion- experience it for a moment, call it what it is, reflect on it and then move on . It can take a moment or hours depending on how deeply you want to sit in it or how long you have to embrace what the moment has to offer.
Meditation will bring about reflection when done properly giving you a new perspective and hopefully a renewed sense of yourself.
